Gold vermeil is a thick layer of solid 18k gold (at least 2.5 microns) applied over a sterling silver base. It's significantly more durable than standard gold-plate (which is typically 0.5 microns over brass) and has nearly the same look and feel as solid gold — at a fraction of the price.
With normal everyday wear, our gold vermeil pieces stay beautiful for 1–2 years before any visible wear. Avoid direct contact with chlorine, perfume, and lotion to extend their life. If a piece does dull over time, we'll re-plate it for free within the first year.
Yes — shipping to all 50 U.S. states and Canada is free on orders over $75 (USD). Standard delivery is 3–5 business days; express is 1–2 days. All duties and taxes are pre-paid at checkout, so there are no surprises at delivery.
Free returns on all unworn pieces within 30 days of delivery. Custom-engraved or bespoke pieces are final sale. We provide a pre-paid return label in your shipping confirmation email.
All ONYUREL pieces are nickel-free and lead-free. Earring posts are 925 sterling silver (under the vermeil layer), which is safe for sensitive ears and reaction-free for the vast majority of our customers.
